All permanent and temporary works involved in resurfacing 14,300 m² of carriageway on the A24 Saintfield Road from Garden Centre to Brackenvale.
Carriageway resurfacing and strengthening was carried out over 3 No weekend periods including night time works:
- Stage 1 - Milling carriageway (70mm depth) full width and regulating with 50/10 asphalt. Regulating restricted to three runs.
- Stage 2 - Milling Lanes 1 & 4 (225mm depth) full width and strengthening using High Modulus Base.
- Stage 3 - Laying surface course in four runs during two weekends, Sunday, One Way Closures
Other works included widening approximately 2800 sq m of asphalt and bitmac footway to facilitate a new cycle lane, street lighting and earthworks to widen carriageway lanes.
