FP McCann were contracted by Biffa Waste Services at their Cottonmount Landfill site on the fringes of the Mallusk Industrial Estate, to carry out all civil engineering works associated with their contract to design, supply, install and commission of all plant and materials to enable the NIE 11kV network to convert waste gas from the landfill into electricity to be sold to the NIE grid. This will enable Biffa to power the entire facility whilst receiving an income from NIE for excess generated.
