Excavation of the existing hardshoulders over a length of approximately 1680m, filling and construction of new carriageway to create additional road width comprising of dense bitumen macadam base course. The new and existing carriageways comprise of a dense bitumen macadam binder course and a rolled asphalt surface course. The work also included the disposal of acceptable material from site, transported and deposited at the B127 Newbridge Road, B127 Ballyconnell Road and A509 Derrylin Road at Carr's Bridge Kinglass as verge filling, drainage, water service work, British Telecom ducts, fencing, kerbing, white lining and other ancillary works.
