On the 21st March 2017, FP McCann attended the Considerate Constructors National Site Awards held in the Lowry Hotel, Manchester. The Considerate Constructors Scheme’s National Site Awards recognise those sites registered with the Scheme that raised the bar for considerate construction.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme looks at the measures a site has taken to be more considerate towards local neighbourhoods and the public, the workforce, and the environment. On this occasion FP McCann secured two awards, a Silver award for their work on Newtownards Public Realm, and a Gold award for their work on Magherafelt Public Realm.
For Newtownards Public Realm, the scheme assessors noted that the site had demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the image of construction through adhering to the scheme’s five-point code of considerate practice: Care about Appearance, Respect the Community, Protect the Environment, Secure everyone’s Safety, and Value their Workforce. For Magherafelt Public Realm, the scheme assessors noted that the site continued “to impress as a first-class approach to Public Realm Environmental Improvement Works in a very busy town centre setting”.
Winning a National Site Award is an exceptional achievement, and recognises those sites that have made the greatest contribution towards improving the image of construction within the UK, and reinforces FP McCann’s commitment over the last number of years to not only provide top quality projects and exceptional service to its clients but also to be at the forefront of helping change today’s image of construction.
These are tremendous achievements for the company, and especially for those working in the Public Realm sector. Congratulations to both teams who worked on these projects for their time and extra effort in making these awards happen.
